row, row, row your boat...gently down the stream

We learn this nursery rhyme so early in our life and of course, we don't grasp how this is the best advice we'll ever be given...that's right, I said EVER. Us beings are always going upstream, we go against the stream and we pat our backs because we are fighting against that which is resisting us, we are fighters, warriors, and above all survivors...ARGH!! But have you ever taken a moment and wondered what it would feel like if you let your-self be carried by that same stream, if you just let go of those oars. What would surrender feel like for you? Out of control!? Oh, one of the scariest thing for some beings...but why? There is something, inexplicable to you and I, that protects us, that assures our well-being. But we, we don't trust that source, universal intelligence, light, god, i.e, whatever you may call it, is ALWAYS guiding you - perfectly. Well-being is yours, it is you who holds your-self back from joy, love, health, abundance. Why? Because we don't surrender to what is. We don't have faith that everything is working itself out exactly the way that it's suppose to. So, the next time something comes along and it arouses something in you that wants to fight it, think just for a moment and feel what it would be like to just go along with it and don't fight it. IF it's too scary, then do what you have to do and try it the next time. Don't ever force your-self to do something that you are not one with. The most important thing in life is to always stay true to your-self.

*These thoughts I write about are teachings that help you expand. The mind is like any muscle in the body and it grows and becomes healthier if you feed it (loving thoughts) and give it good exercise (apply those loving thoughts).

Take your hand off the trigger

Have you ever noticed when you are moving through something (emotionally) if it has been triggered? Now, we all have these triggers, things that we encounter in the present that bring up remnants of emotional pain from the past, some of us have these episodes happen a couple of times a day or, if you are lucky, a week. How do you know? Usually you over-react to a situation, place, or person. This is because this person, place or situation has brought up residue that you haven't really dealt with. Naturally, the feelings are overwhelming and produce a very emotional response from you. How can we better move around these unpleasant feelings? For one, lets recognize that something was indeed triggered and you aren't reacting to the situation at hand, but it is bringing up some thing or things. You don't have to talk about what is occuring at the very moment, but just bring awareness to it. Now, you've recognized this, what do you do then? The next time this happens, try and just allow whatever is occuring to occur, whether this is something you want to happen or not. Be still. Don't react to what is happening. Life is perfect and everything is unfolding perfectly (yes, even those things that we don't want to happen). We make things what they appear to be. So, lets just bring love to whatever it is. And just be. Still.

who's writing your script?

are you really making your own choices in life? or are you in default mode? sometimes it feels as though we don't have choices, but the truth is that everything that surrounds us in this very moment...was our choice. if you look around and aren't too happy with what you see...you, my dear, are in default mode. i love hearing a story where i am reminded that we choose happiness. yes, that's a choice! there are things in our life that we just don't/can't/won't let go of; things that no longer serve our highest good. so, maybe, we're stuck in the mud. let our-self face whatever fear is holding us in place. lets look at it and tell it "i lovingly release you". we have to make space, open our-selves up to the wonders that want to enter our lives. knock-knock.

F.E.A.R. Forgetting Everything is All Right

Hate is not the opposite of love. Fear is the opposite of love. Fear makes your choices obsolete, your mind is churning and churning, but you are unable to extend your arm and REACH. Because you can't! Recycling thoughts that don't serve you will hinder your progress of moving forward. How do you know you are afraid? I usually feel very confused. I can't make one single decision. I literally hold my-self back from what I desire. We all have different defense mechanisms. So, what can you do to turn this around?

  • Always acknowledge how you are feeling. What do you think this is triggering? Don't be afraid to seek professional counseling.
  • Try to engage in activities you enjoy to get your mind off the anxiety that fear causes. Anything you can do to raise your vibration. Take a walk in the park, paint a picture, exercise, write. ANY activity that you enjoy.

See once you open the window, you allow your-self to breathe and re-connect with that which is source energy. And you remember, that everything IS ALRIGHT...

What Moves You @ The Core Of Your Being

We all have things that touch us, touch us deeply. When you can feel the strings of your heart being played like a violin - that feeling. We all are unique, therefore, we each have something different that moves us. But we are all capable of reaching our potential. We all came here for the same purpose. To be all that we can be. It could be in the making of a great piece of art, being on a beautiful beach in the caribbean, being a great friend, listening to Beethoven or Prince, watching the stars etc. The world is too large to make yours so small. So, go on, explore...

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?" - Excerpted from Our Deepest Fear by Marianne Williamson

What kind of world do you want?

Once you realize that you are the creator of your world, that very moment - is extremely powerful. Stand in that power! We create everything around us: home, paintings, writing, problems, nothingness, happiness, etc. We are all gifted with the power to manifest whatever it is we desire. With the easeness of thoughts that enter your mind, you create the tangibles of that thought. Let your world be a reflection of those hopeful, joyous thoughts. You owe it to your-self, don't you think?

We are all on our path...

You are exactly where you need to be. Sometimes, outside circumstances frustrate us. We feel as though this is coming from the outside, when in fact, this is just a projection of the part of us that we do not want to accept.
